The gemstone industry has been built on layers. Layers of brokers, agents, dealers and distributors — each one adding cost and removing accountability. By the time a stone reaches a buyer in Germany or Australia it has passed through so many hands that nobody can tell you exactly where it came from or what it looked like when it left the earth. We thought that was wrong. So we built something different.
Where We Come From
Arusha sits at the centre of East Africa’s most mineral-rich corridor.
Within 200km of our office lie some of the world’s most significant gemstone deposits. The Merelani Hills — home to the world’s only Tanzanite — are visible on a clear day. The mines that produce Chrysoprase, Kyanite, Sunstone and Amazonite are not distant suppliers to us. They are our neighbours.
We did not come to Tanzania to source gemstones. We are from here. This is not a supply chain to us. It is home.
What We Built

Tanzania Northern Treasure Limited was incorporated on 17 April 2018 under the Companies Act 2002 and registered with BRELA — the Business Registrations and Licensing Agency of Tanzania.
We are licensed for the mining and export of non-ferrous metal ores, wholesale trade and international gemstone export. Every stone we sell leaves Tanzania with full documentation, full traceability and full accountability.
We built this company because we believed there was a better way to connect African gemstones with the world. We still believe that. Every order proves it.

Because every layer costs you money. When you buy through a broker in Bangkok or a dealer in Tucson, you are paying for their margin, their storage, their overheads and their relationship with the person before them in the chain. We skip all of that. You pay for the stone. That is it.

We fix it. Immediately. If stones arrive damaged we send replacements of equal or greater value. We do not disappear after the sale. We do not pass you to a customer service email that takes two weeks to respond. You have our WhatsApp. You use it. We answer.
